And so it begins...

again. I will admit it, this is attempt number three at a blog. The first one was going to be a destraction from a terrible exam and the second one was an attempt...actually, I don't know what I was attempting. Anyway, I've lurked enough, and now its time to just do it. I'll start with 100 things about me ....

1. I'm VERY close to 30.

2. This is starting to scare me.

3. I am Southern by birth

4. And still Southern by choice.

5. And make no bones about it...to anyone.

6. I'm an only child.

7. I like being an only child.

8. I try not give off the "only child" vibe.

9. Most people think I do a good job at not giving off that vibe.

10. My dad is a high school football coach.

11. I LOVE football...love it.

12. I have my mom text me the score of his games on Friday night at the end of each quarter.

13. I grew up in a small town.

14. I wasn't sure about it when I was younger, but I am SO thankful I did.

15. I am currently single.

16. I like being single.

17. This probably has a lot do to with Number 7.

18. I didn't go to my first choice for college.

19. I am SO glad I didn't.

20. I cannot imagine not having graduated from my alma mater.

21. Even though my dad coached football and I am his only child, I was not a tomboy...at all.

22. I took ballet and tap lessons.

23. And I cheered.

24. My dad still loves me.

25. Both of my parents are teachers.

26. I am not a teacher.

27. I do like school.

28. And I liked school when it wasn't exactly cool to like school.

29. I guess that means that I was a nerd in high school.

30. I am not a republican.

31. I am not a democrat.

32. I wrote my law school admissions essay about Princess Leia.

33. I loved how she could wear a dress and carry a gun.

34. I guess that also makes me a nerd.

35. Friends is my favorite TV show of all time.

36. I have seen every episode, at least three times.

37. "The One Where No One's Ready" is my favorite.

38. I am on Team Jennifer.

39. I am a home owner.

40. Not a condo, but a home.

41. I have to mow my yard.

42. I mowed for about a month before throwing in the towel to a lawn company.

43. Best money I spend a month.

44. I am a lawyer.

45. I believe anyone thinking about law school should think LONG AND HARD before taking the plunge.

46. I like what I do but its not easy.

47. I love musicals.

48. Oklahoma! is my favorite.

49. I had a crush on Curly from the movie when I was younger.

50. When I was in elementary school, Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals were on Disney and my mom and I would watch them.

51. That is where my love for musicals began.

52. My mom is quite possibly the strongest person I know.

53. I hope I can be half the mother she has been to me when I have children.

54. I didn't drink at all in high school. See Number 7.

55. I wouldn't drink beer when I was in college.

56. Now I stick to beer and wine.

57. I love J. Crew.

58. I love Banana Republic.

59. I do not like shopping.

60. I am more of a purchaser.

61. I didn't go to an SEC school, but I will admit that there is no better football conference in the country.

62. As I write this, I am currently watching two SEC teams play. See Number 11.

63. I am not a confrontational person.

64. Because of Number 63, most people are shocked to find out I am a lawyer.

65. Sometimes I'm shocked that I get paid to be an advocate and assertive.

66. But I will ask you to leave an event if you are not invited and not welcome.

67. Ask my parents...they witnessed it.

68. I was in a sorority.

69. I met some of my best friends through it.

70. Its been almost seven years since I graduated from college and miss these girls every day.

71. I can also remember college like it was yesterday.

72. One of my favorite places on earth is Palm Springs, CA.

73. My sister from another mother introduced me to it.

74. If you haven't been, you need to go...soon...I'm serious.

75. I love celebrity gossip.

76. I subscribe to People.

77. I wish I also subscribed to US Weekly.

78. I do two rounds with People: a pictures only round then a "read the article" round.

79. I love coming home to a full DVR.

80. I do have a "brother."

81. He is my best friend.

82. I went home with him every day after school in elementary school.

83. He is a minister and I admire him so much for taking that journey.

84. I love him in spite of his allegiance to my alma mater's rival.

85. This could have ended our friendship.

86. I can be competitive. See Number 44.

87. I can also be very passive.

88. I think email should also have BBM emoticons.

89. I don't like onions.

90. I love onion rings.

91. I am aware that 89 and 90 make no sense.

92. I follow the Memorial Day/Labor Day wearing white rule. See Numbers 3-5.

93. I also write thank you notes...for everything.

94. These notes are either monogrammed or embossed.

95. I could live at the beach.

96. And I am not particular about which beach...I love them all.

97. I studied abroad for a summer in college.

98. I wish I had studied abroad for a whole semester.

99. London is my favorite city on the planet.
